In 2008, Melnik Kuhn took his first steps into e-commerce. At the time, digital commerce was just beginning to take major leaps, but Melnik saw the potential of online sales. He started with experiments in virtual stores, testing different platforms, exploring business models, and learning what worked and what didn't.

2014 - The First Major Experience

Over the years, experiments multiplied, but it was at the end of 2014 that ideas began to take concrete shape. After years of analyzing trends, testing hypotheses, and identifying market gaps, Melnik and his team initiated a structured testing phase. The goal was clear: to create a robust solution for commerce digitalization, simplifying operations and efficiently connecting businesses with customers.

2020 - The Consolidation of the Business Model

With accumulated experience, the project entered a new phase. In the midst of the digital transformation era, it became clear that the traditional e-commerce model was not enough. Businesses needed more than just an online store — they needed integrated management of sales channels, relationships with suppliers and customers, and an effective digital presence. This led to the creation of Globaltradin, the company that would serve as the foundation for an innovative ecosystem.

2022 - The Birth of SapioCommerce and Sapio.Cloud

The next step was to develop tools that offered real solutions to the market. Thus, SapioCommerce was born, a B2B2C e-commerce platform designed for businesses looking to digitize their sales channels without fixed costs. At the same time, Sapio.Cloud was launched, a suite of services that allows companies to host and manage their e-commerce operations with flexibility and scalability.

2023 - The Arrival of TradinPortugal

Regional and national commerce has always been a priority. In 2023, TradinPortugal was launched, a marketplace designed to promote local products and connect Portuguese businesses to the global market. This platform allowed producers, manufacturers, and distributors to showcase their products to a broader audience, fostering B2B and B2C business in an integrated manner.

This strategic move established a strong digital presence and built bridges between local and international markets.

2024 - Global Expansion

With the successful realization of the business model associated with the TradinPortugal project, the expansion strategy gained momentum. By 2024, the Sapio ecosystem already encompassed a set of domains in 36 countries, covering five continents and laying the groundwork for global growth.

2025 - The Future is Here

The launch of TradinPortugal on tradinportugal.com is scheduled, making it the first regional marketplace to go live. This will be the first phase of a progressive implementation, focused on ensuring an optimized experience for businesses and consumers, promoting digital commerce efficiently and sustainably.

Currently, Globaltradin continues to evolve. SapioCommerce, Sapio.Cloud, and TradinPortugal are already a reality for many businesses, and the Sapio ecosystem is prepared for the future.
